The friend was overwhelmed. The view out of her window had been transformed, a tree she loved was being cut down. She wondered if I could create something to hang in the window, a tree to replace the tree, a tree to honor the missed tree. As I looked at trees, one especially caught my eye. It consisted of large patches of dark and light green. In the canopy limbs could be see, but more importantly was the gaps where the sky could be seen behind the tree. I tried to capture the tree that caught my eye, for my friend. This is what happened. Two more views, because glass like trees never really look the same.
